 Seasons Greetings

Tis’ the season to be jolly and Christmas is supposed to be 'the most wonderful time of the year'.  All too often, it isn't. As the cards and carols like to remind us, Christmas is supposed to be a time for families and togetherness, peace and well being for all. If only the problems in life paid more attention to the songs on the radio or the movies on TV, and it really was that easy.

National Lampoon's European Vacation

National Lampoon's European Vacation is directed by Amy Heckerling. The film stars Chevy Chase, Beverly D'Angelo, Dana Hill, Jason Lively. Co-stars include John Astin, William Zabka, Eric Idle, Moon Unit Zappa, Robbie Coltrane, and Ballard Berkeley. The musical score is by Charles Fox.

The second film in the Vacation series follows the Griswold family on yet another family vacation. This time, the family has won a European getaway by winning big on a game show. The vacation takes the family all across Europe, including England, France, Germany, and Rome. And in each new locale, the family wreaks havoc - from running over bicyclists on the streets of London to starting a brawl during a German festival. As Clark (Chase) and Ellen (D'Angelo) enjoy their vacation despite the occasional hardship, the Griswold children (Hill and Lively) keep on begging for it to end.

After the first Vacation film, arguably the funniest road trip-style movie out there, the second installment comes as a huge disappointment. Heckerling's take on the Vacation series is, regrettably, its weakest installment. This time around the humor is stale, usually location-relative jokes that aren't even that entertaining to begin with. The replacement actors cast as the Griswold children are uninteresting and pale in comparison to those from the original Vacation. The best characters in this film are the ones who, regrettably, only appear for limited amounts of time. The musical score is nothing worth writing home about, either. There's not a whole lot that can be said about this film. It's a good movie, but much weaker than anything else in the series.

Well it's been awhile since i did a review, and i just posted a few that i had running around my computer. But don't fright here is another review!Smile. This time where looking at the new movie that just came out by Walt Disney® Pictures: Enchanted.

This isn't like Who Framed Roger Rabbit where real people interact with cartoon characters. The two worlds are totally separate.

The tale follows the beautiful princess Giselle (Amy Adams) as she is banished by an evil queen (Susan Sarandon) from her magical, musical animated land--and finds herself in the gritty reality of the streets of modern-day Manhattan. Shocked by this strange new environment that doesn't operate on a "happily ever after" basis, Giselle is now adrift in a chaotic world badly in need of enchantment. But when Giselle begins to fall in love with a charmingly flawed divorce lawyer (Patrick Dempsey) who has come to her aid--even though she is already promised to a perfect fairy tale prince (James Marsden) back home--she has to wonder: can a storybook view of romance survive in the real world?
