You've got to hand it to the Wild Arms series. They definitely do things differently than several RPGs. If you're looking for an RPG that's just all around different then Wild Arms 5 is actually a treat. It doesn't reach as high as it could, though, but at least it does reach higher than most RPGs would dare to reach, and does a lot of things quite differently and out of tradition for RPGs. Wild Arms 5 has a fairly simple story. Dean is a guy who loves exploring ruins. He's a Golem-Hunter, but he's tired of being cooped up in his town. When adventuring with his friend Rebecca, an arm suddenly falls from the sky. Clasped inside the arm is a girl named Avril. She only mentions something from the past but Dean has no clue what it means. Despite that he decides to investigate anyway. And in true RPG fashion, no one stops him. It's a simple story, but it has its own charm. |

AWESOME collection - belongs in any Street Fighter fan's game library INTRODUCTION: In 1995, as a holdover until Street Fighter III was released, to ride on the success of the five different versions of Street Fighter II, Capcom decided to go a different route to hold fans over. What resulted was Street Fighter Alpha, a "prequel" game of sorts taking place between the first and second Street Fighters (although Capcom later claimed the series did not actually take place in the series continuity.) This sub-series of the franchise became so successful in its own right, that as a follow up to the earlier Street Fighter Collection, Capcom decided to release an Alpha Anthology. OVERVIEW: Capcom released the Street Fighter Alpha Anthology for the Playstation Two in the Summer of 2006. It features Street Fighter Alpha, Alpha 2, Alpha 2 Gold, Alpha 3, Puzzle Fighter, Alpha 3 Upper (Unlockable), and Hyper Alpha (Unlockable.) There are also unlockable bonus options/features |

Ever since the Wii's launch, good games have been few and far between. Certainly we got good games like The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and we got a ton of mini-game compilations, but for the most part, the Wii has been getting mini-game compilations, ports with tacked on Wii controls, and games that were originally slated for the Gamecube. Now we've finally got a high quality Wii game built from the ground up: Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. Nintendo once again sets the bar. Metroid Prime 3 is not only fun and easy to get into, but the controls are just an intuitive as ever. The game begins when Samus returns to Galatic Federation Station Olympus, a base of operations. She's there to report for duty to Admiral Dane, as are other bounty hunters. It appears the space pirates are up to no good as they've planted a virus in a series of the Galatic Units super computers, the Aurora Units. Just as Admiral Dane is explaining how the bounty hunters must go and neutralize the virus, Olympus comes under attack. It's time to suit up, escape Olympus station and get started on your mission. Samus is not alone through her journey, as she has the help of other bounty hunters as well. No, you won't get to play as any of them. |
