 So for the long weekend we decided to go to Niagara Falls, Canada. We booked tickets for oneway ( we where going to meet someone and comeback with them ) over the internet. Printed the tickets. And everything so far was going just fine.
So it's Sunday morning now after waking up at around 6am to catch the bus at 7:30am. We arrived and upon that decided to wake up a bit with some coffee, wouldn't recommend. The coffee had a "weird" taste. Anyways the bus comes ( without a logo ), got on and where off...... The ride was a bumpy as it gets, besides the fact that my window sounded like it was going to dis-latch from the bus and the chair wasn't working it could've been worst. We arrived, got a taxi and done some site seeing, Toke the behind the falls tour ( recommended ) and the Maid of The Mist tour ( very recommended ). After that got "lunch". The place we choose wasn't far from where we were ( really hungry ), after waiting the 15min for my chicken sandwich, which turns out it wasn't worth the wait. The fries had no salt, the only thing good about it would be the drink and that's roughly. Next we decided to take the people mover. By now we decided to stay for the fireworks, and our rid decided not to. So we planned to buy the tickets later, i mean there was plenty of time right......The people mover isn't too bad, i mean you only pay once and then after that your able to be dropped off all over the entertainment district of Niagara Falls. After ridding it for about 2hrs we decided we had enough of the bus, and hit the arcades. Recommended for just good old fun. You win tickets and get prizes, i gave my tickets away ( didn't like any of the prizes ). Anyways next was dinner, and we were determined to eat something better than lunch, didn't happen. First the salads had so much dressing and cheese, it was drowning what was presented as lettuce. Next ( before any of the plates where cleared ) came the main course. Beside the fact that the rice tasted like something that is cooked in less than a minute ( Bistro Express ) the Sirloin Steak wasn't cooked as i ordered ( medium came rare ). Ordered another drink ( help with the food ).......I'm still waiting for it to come. The Fireworks show was great to watch. Alot of colors, noise, and sparkles. Now it's time to cut through traffic get to the bus terminal and try to get the tickets for the 11pm bus...... We made it round 10:40, no problem right......I thought so too, turns out the bus terminal closes at 10:30, yup the last bus leaves at 12:30am ( doesn't make sense to me ) now we had a problem, no way to get back to Toronto, and no room for the night. So we go back ad search around and finally found something. Wasn't 5 star or 4 for that matter, but it was something for the night. When it came morning we woke at around 6:30am ( just in case ) and had breakfast with "Ms.Sunshine". So my recommendation if your going anywhere, never rely on someone else for a ride, and always, always listen to your gut. |
